Frost that returns within a week of being cleared is a defrost or a drain fault, and clearing it by hand only resets the clock. The other common shape is soft ice cream in a compartment whose display still says 0°F: the cabinet is warmer than the board believes it is, and the sensor is usually why. Both are diagnosed by watching a cycle rather than by opening the sealed system.
